QUEO™ Polyolefin Plastomers (POP) & Elastomers (POE)

The plastomer polyolefin market constantly requires solutions able to combine different requirements, such as tightness, flexibility, compatibility and processability: Borealis QUEO™.

The technology of the QUEO™ metalloecene catalyst, which incorporates polyethylene octene copolymers, meets market requirements with an excellent solution, able to resist impact at lower temperatures and work conditions, providing excellent optical properties and transparency.

Available through extrusion and injection moulding, all QUEO™ grades comply with F.D.A. Certification requirements and provide formable, surface toughness between 70 and 95 on the shore-A scale.
The QUEO™ elastomeric copolymer is popular because of its lower brittleness point which is lower than POP (°C glass transition) and better breakage extension (%) compared with other metallocene polymers.

The chemical resistance is comparable with other types of standard PE. Furthermore, any standard polyolefin base can be used as an additive.
